SIERRA VISTA- Four adventurers were rescued after getting lost near the San Pedro River Saturday evening.
The group was trying out a new raft they had built when they miscalculated the distance between the two locations they were heading. After encountering water that was too low to continue rafting on, the group started searching for their way back to the car, by foot. They called the Cochise County Sheriff's Office for help after it got too dark outside.
Nearly 20 people from the search and rescue team helped located the four people and transported them by air, two at a time back to their car.
One was checked out by the Whetstone Fire Department medical personnel for not having needed medication throughout the day. The second had mild hypothermia. All four refused transport.
