Four people displaced from apartment fire

TUCSON- An apartment fire displaced four people Friday night.

Tucson Police received a call of an apartment fire from the 3700 block of North Fairview, near Prince Road.

A woman and her cat escaped, along with three people from the family living in the apartment below.

The whole apartment complex was evacuated to ensure the safety of all residents.

They were told to leave due to unsafe conditions and water damage.

The Fire Department found the fire in the woman's bedroom.

It was controled withing 18 minutes from the first call to police.

Twenty-three firefighters were called on scene.

The Red Cross was on scene to assist both families with anything they needed.

The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation.
