Freeze Warning for Tucson metro overnight

TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Tucson metro area, the Tohono O'odham Nation & south central Pinal County. This is in effect from 1 AM until 8 AM Tuesday.

A Hard Freeze warning is also in effect for southeastern Pinal County from 1 AM until 8 AM Tuesday, where temps drop below 28 degrees for several hours.

All of southern Arizona will see freezing temps tonight, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Lows range from the teens in eastern Cochise County, low/mid 20's in southeast Pinal County and upper 20's/low 30's in the Tucson metro. This will be the first freeze of the season for Tucson, which comes much later than the normal first freeze date of November 24th.

Tonight's cold temps are part of a one-two Winter punch this week. Click the video above for Jeff's True View 4 forecast. Click here for a full forecast breakdown on his weather blog. As a reminder, make sure to wrap any exposed pipes, bring pets indoors and cover plants to protect from tonight's freeze.
