Grown men armed with nets in motorboats prowled the waters of Florida's Lake Morton Tuesday.
They weren't shooting an episode of National Geographic. They were participating in the city of Lakeland's 33rd annual swan roundup.
"We generally try to do this once a year," explained city worker Nathan Geiger.
"We catch the swans, and the vet comes out the next day, and does just their yearly check ups," he said.
The city of Lakeland currently has 16 baby swans, called cygnets, and 71 adult swans, which will all be seen by a veterinarian.
