Guitar festival and night hike this weekend

TUCSON - Park Place Mall is hosting a Guitar Festival tonight and Saturday.
The kick-off starts at 6pm.
Admission is free.
Tonight's festival features a Live Blue Guitar and Performance with Johnny Faber and the Road Kings.
There's an Air Guitar Competition Saturday. The grand prize is $300.
The festival also includes kids' activities, mariachi performances by local school groups, and other exhibits.
The event is sponsored by the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance.

•La Paloma Academy is inviting families to check out its South campus Saturday.
The charter school is holding an Enroll-a-thon.
Families can tour the school, meet with teachers and chat with staff members to get their questions answered.
The event starts at 11am at 5660 S. 12th Avenue.

•Saguaro National Park will be hosting family Park after Dark training programs in the Tucson Mountain district (west) on Saturday.
With a group of Ranger Teachers, families will have the opportunity to be guided on hikes to explore the park after dark to explore and experience the desert moonlight.
The hikes would begin outside the Education Center in the Tucson Mountain District (west).
The round trip distance is estimated at 1.5 miles. Adults must be accompanied by kids between the ages of 7-18 years old.
