TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for eastern Pima, southern Pinal, Santa Cruz & western Cochise Counties until 12 PM.
Metro Tucson is also under a Red Flag Warning until 1 PM & an Air Quality Advisory.
A storm system grazing the Arizona/New Mexico state line cranks easterly winds up to 40 MPH through the early afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Blowing dust is possible along I-10 and I-19 the next few hours. Winds will subside later this afternoon, falling around 5-15 PM.
Today's forecast high of 84° is the 6th straight day with below average temperatures.
Winds ease up this weekend as high pressure parks over the Four Corners. Daytime highs return to the 90's by Saturday, with breezes returning to the forecast early next week.
