TUCSON - Cooler temperatures to follow warm weekend.
The warmest temperatures of the year so far continued into Sunday with Tucson topping 96 degrees for the second straight day. Tucson will see a high of 92 to start the week before this warm ridge of high pressure breaks down.
A Pacific low will move into the region on Tuesday cranking up the winds with gusts from 35-40mph. Pockets of blowing dust will be possible along I-10 along with high fire danger.
A Fire Weather Watch is in place for Southern Arizona on Tuesday. Any fires that do develop will likely see rapid and erratic growth.
Much cooler temperatures will accompany this system as we go from the low 90s on Monday to the mid 70s on Wednesday. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast here.
