TUCSON - Another round of winds accompanied with slightly cooler temperatures forecast this afternoon.
An upper level disturbance moving through the western states will bring breezy to windy conditions across southern Arizona. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, Tucson will see wind gusts reach 30mph this afternoon with gusts east of the metro approaching 40mph.
The lack of moisture and gusty winds will once again lead to a high fire danger this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon until 8pm this evening. Any fires that do develop will likely see rapid and sporadic growth therefore outdoor burning is not recommended.
The same system bringing the winds will also bring daytime highs back to normal this afternoon with a forecast high of 76. The mid 70s stick around through the start of the upcoming work week before another warming trend takes off. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast by clicking here.
