TUCSON - Fall cold front to bring big temperature swing this week.
A weak ridge of high pressure is still hanging on for one more warm day across southern Arizona. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, we'll top out near 90 degrees to round your weekend making it eight straight days with above average highs.
We'll go from near 90 tomorrow to the low 70s later in the week as another fall cold front dives our way on Tuesday. Expect gusty winds above 30mph as the cold front passes Tuesday afternoon and the cooler air to really settle in by Wednesday.
For now it looks like southern Arizona will remain in a relatively dry slot with rain and snow to our north and even a few showers south of the border. Our area may tap into just enough moisture support a shower or two late Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning.
