TUCSON - The food supply for the economically challenged families in Tucson is at an all time high, and the Community Food Bank is asking everyone in Tucson to help collect 20,000 Turkeys for Tucson.
On Thursday, December 15, Southern Arizonans are encouraged to donate turkeys (or cash donations for turkeys) at three Tucson locations between 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., to help meet the Community Food Bank's "20,000 Turkeys for Tucson Challenge."
The turkeys can be donated at Casino Del Sol Resort, Mr. An's Teppan Steak and Sushi, and Tucson Appliance all day on December 15. Trucks will be transporting turkey donations to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona throughout the day.
The owners and operators of these three local businesses offered to help coordinate this effort out of concern for their local community, according to a news release from "20,000 Turkeys for Tucson."
