Herb Stratford holds Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Arizona. He is a 26-year Tucson resident who has been involved with the arts since 1985 both as an artist, arts administrator and activist.

He was the driving force behind the successful $14 million rehabilitation of the art deco Fox Tucson Theatre downtown from 1999-2008, and teaches arts management at the University of Arizona. He continues to create art and exhibit all over the country in severla mediums.
