TUCSON - International Migratory Bird Day is Saturday, May 10th. Madera Canyon plans on "Hittin' the Trails" in grand fashion.
The US Forest Service will waive usage fees that day. Friends of Madera Canyon have lined up a trio of morning bird walks free of charge. Grab the kids for the Proctor Nature Loop trek, slated to step foot at 7 & 10 AM on May 10th.
More experienced hikers can take on the moderate Carrie Nation Trail, which starts at 7 AM. This hike is two miles round trip.
Registration is required for these hikes. Click here to get signed up and see what other events will be taking place at Madera Canyon for International Migratory Bird Day.
