WASHINGTON, D.C. - Border security is once again taking center stage on the agenda of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
She's planning to travel to Tucson and Douglas on April 5, accompanied by National Drug Control Policy Director Gil Kerlikowske and Customs and Border Protection Acting Commissioner Thomas Winkowski.
The three will inspect border security operations, meet with state and local law enforcement, and discuss the Administration's progress in securing the nation's border while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
The Secretary will meet with the media while in town. That news conference will take place at the CBP Joint Field Command Tucson Sector Headquarters at 1:50pm.
