TUCSON - Triple digit temps and gusty winds for the midway point of the work week.
A cold front off the West Coast develops 15-20 MPH west winds this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. High pressure supplies the 31st triple digit day of the year, with Tucson slated to peak at 104° under mostly sunny skies.
Enough moisture may be present for a stray shower or storm in the Chiricahua Mountains this afternoon.
Winds ease off by the weekend as high pressure slides toward the Four Corners. Early next week, high temps reach the 104-107° range in Tucson. Moisture starts to creep up from the south the middle of next week, potentially leading to some thunderstorm activity for the valley floors.
