TUCSON- We were close to 100 today out at TIA but the offical number came in at 97 degrees this afternoon. Other locations around Tucson did touch 100 like the U of A campus at 101, Downtown at 100 and Continental Reserve at 101. Statewide Yuma took the honors at 103 followed by Phoenix at 102 and Casa Grande at 100.
Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino says the large bubble of high pressure will bake us again tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 90's before we slowly cool off a bit by early next week. The wind make a return Wednesday - Friday with a RED FLAG WARNING likely on Thursday. A Red Flag Warning means conidtions are critical for wildfires with a combination of low humidity, hot temps and gusty winds.
