TUCSON - A fire damaged a house on the southside early Thursday.
A worker delivering newspapers in the neighborhood spotted the fire and called 911, Tucson Fire Department Cpt. Barrett Baker said in a release.
Firefighters had to force open a security door to get hose lines the house, Baker said. A ladder crew cut two holes in the roof with chainsaws to allow for venting and utility lines were shut off.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire, Baker said, and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
