TUCSON - The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is celebrating its 70th Anniversary.
HSSA is Southern Arizona's oldest and largest nonprofit animal welfare organization.
Samantha Esquivel, HSSA spokeswoman, receives about 8,000 pets annually and has a live--release rate of 95%.
This month, the organization wants the public to take part in the celebration! In honor of the HSSA's 70th anniversary, the organization will kick off the celebration on July 18 at the main campus.
All pets will have a $50 adoption fee; pets are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
There will be cupcakes, food trucks ready to serve and kid crafting activities from 11 a.m.
