Humane Society will waive all adoption fees this weekend, due to overcrowding

TUCSON - The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is completely full again.

They tell us they have to house anywhere from four to seven dogs per kennel, and they have an overwhelming number of kittens.

Because of this, adoption fees will be waived on select cats and dogs all weekend. The shelter will also stay open on Labor Day, from noon to 4 p.m.

The PAWSH stores in La Encantada and Park Place, as well as PetSmart adoption locations at River and Orange Grove and Irvington and I-19 will be open Monday.

The main shelter will also extend its hours on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Though there will be no adoption fees, a $16 licensing fee still applies for all dogs taken home.
