TUCSON - A cooling trend starts as we head into the upcoming weekend.
Temperatures were on the rise quickly this afternoon and it looked like we might hit our first 100 but eventually the heat leveled off and we topped 98 in the Old Pueblo. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, this afternoon was our last chance to break the ice this week as a low pressure trough brings us some better temps heading into the weekend.
Starting Friday temperatures start to slide back to the mid 90s under mostly sunny skies. As this system approaches from the north we may some wind gusts approach 30mph to wrap up the work week.
The nicest days come just in time for your Saturday and Sunday with forecast highs in the low 90s under generally sunny skies. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast by clicking here.
No triple digit heat yet means that there is still time to enter Ice Break contest so get started here.
