TUCSON - Arizona jurors who serve six or more days will now receive supplementary compensation to replace lost wages, in addition to regular juror pay. The money will come from the Arizona Lengthy Trial Fund (ALTF).
The earnings replacement or supplementation will be paid to jurors who serve on lengthy trials and who are employed and lose income while serving on a jury. The minimum pay per day is $28, the maximum is $300 per day.
Jurors serving on lengthy trials who are unemployed or retired may receive $28 per day in ALTF supplemental compensation, while jurors who are employed but do not lose income due to their jury service are not eligible.
Sworn jurors who serve on a jury that lasts less than six days receive $12 a day, plus mileage reimbursement. Jurors who are not chosen as sworn jurors are eligible for mileage reimbursement only.
