TUCSON - Dry today, but a soggy weekend's on tap for the Sonoran Desert.
High pressure keeps southern Arizona warm this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect daytime highs to reach the upper 70's under partly cloudy skies, a good 6-8° above average.
A cold front over the eastern Pacific is marching toward the West Coast, eventually reaching southern Arizona by the weekend. The best chance of widespread showers/snow above 7,000 feet looks to be late Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Most of southern Arizona sees 0.25-0.50" rain.
