Jack Fire burning in Coconino National Forest

HAPPY JACK, Ariz.- The Jack Fire has burned 400 acres in the Coconino National Forest since it started Saturday morning.

The fire burning 13 miles northeast of Happy Jack, Arizona, was first reported around 11:45 a.m.

Currently there are two hotshot crews and approximately 90 firefighters on the scene. They are being assisted by three air tankers, one very large air tanker, two helitankers, one Type 1 helicopter, one air attack, and one lead plane.

The Jack Fire is burning in grass and pinyon-juniper.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
