ROME (AP) - Secretary of State John Kerry says he will be returning to the Middle East in two weeks to push forward peace efforts between Israel and the Palestinians.
Kerry said he planned to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories around May 21 or May 22.
He said Wednesday that he'll meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Kerry was speaking at the start of talks in Rome with Israeli peace negotiator Tzipi Livni.
