TUCSON - Drier air moving in over the weekend will decrease Southern Arizona storm chances.
A few light showers made their way into Tucson to round out the work week but overall it was pretty inactive day for Monsoon 2013. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, storm chances will remain on the isolated side for the long holiday weekend. The hit or miss storms that do develop will be capable of heavy downpours and gusty winds.
Daytime highs will slowly climb as our storm chances decline. Temperatures will once again push the triple digits by Labor Day and that is where they will stay heading back to work next week.
