TUCSON - One more shot at storms before Monsoon 2013 takes the rest of the work week off.
Ample moisture and a mid-level disturbance from Sonora triggers scattered storms today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Storms should develop around lunchtime and taper off late this evening. Locally heavy rainfall will be the primary threat with today's activity.
Drier air moves in from the west the remainder of the work week, shutting down valley storm chances. Daytime highs return to the 100's by Friday. Isolated storms make a comeback this weekend for all of southern Arizona.
