Shrimp and Grits
12 large shrimp peeled and deveined
1 tsp butter
¼ cup of white wine
2 tsp chicken gravy
¼ cup cheddar cheese
1 tsp fresh garlic
1. In a medium sauté pan add shrimp, butter and garlic and salt and pepper and sauté for 3-5 minutes.
2. Add the white wine and reduce by half
3. Add chicken gravy and let cook for 1 minute
4. Add cheddar cheese
5. Pour over grits
2 cups water
1 ¼ cup milk
1 tsp salt
1 cup instant grits
¼ cup butter
In a small pot, bring water, milk, and salt to a boil.
Slowly stir grits into boiling mixture.
Stir continuously and thoroughly until grits are well
