Let's Make a Meal: The Zinburger

TUCSON - Today on "Let's Make a Meal," Zach Cohen, executive chef at Zinburger, stopped by to make THE Zinburger! Here's the recipe:

The Zinburger (serves one)

Burger Ingredients:
1 Potato Bun
2 tbsp. Mayo
½-tsp. Hamburger seasoning
¼-cup Iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 oz. Manchego cheese
7 oz. Certified Angus beef patty
Salt and pepper

Zinfandel braised onions:
2 oz. Onions
1-cup Zinfandel
¼-cup Honey
1 tbsp. Oil

1. Season certified Angus beef patty with hamburger seasoning and cook on the grill or grill pan until cooked to the desired degree of doneness. Top with Manchego cheese.
2. While burger is cooking, sauté onions with extra virgin olive oil and salt and pepper, add Zinfandel and honey; cook until onions are browned and caramelized.
3. Toast bun on the grill, add mayo to both sides
4. Add burger to bun, garnish with lettuce and Zinfandel braised onions.
