LIFESAVER: Children with autism are more likely to drown

TUCSON - Kristi's Kids did some digging and learned, children with autism are extremely high risk for drowning.

According to the National Autism Association, about half of all kids with the spectrum disorder will put themselves in unsafe situations.

In 2009, 2010 and 2011 91% of the child autism deaths in the U.S. (kids 14 years old and under) were from accidental drowning.

There's a local effort to raise awareness and save lives. Watch the video report for those details.
