MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - A passenger's scary discovery delayed a flight from Milwaukee to Detroit Wednesday night.

Police say, shortly after boarding, a passenger found an unused shotgun shell on the Delta jet.

Passengers were evacuated while investigators with bomb-sniffing dogs checked the rest of the plane. But, when nothing else was found, passengers re-boarded and the flight made it to Detroit without incident, about an hour behind schedule.

"With all the security that you think is in place these days, how do these things happen?" asked passenger Darlene Schultz.

Delta officials apoligized to customers for the delay. Still no word how the ammunition made it on board.
