TUCSON - Week 2 of Monsoon 2014 will once again be dominated by big time heat.
High pressure anchors over northern Mexico this week, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This high traps any moisture well south of Arizona & delivers a daily round of triple digit temperatures. Today's forecast high of 105° runs 2-4° above average for late June.
Of note, this afternoon is slated to be Tucson's 29th triple digit day of 2014.
Little cloud cover is anticipated this week, with daytime highs in the 102-105° range through the upcoming weekend. Overnight lows drop to the low to mid 70's metro-wide.
