TUCSON - A medical call turned into a hazmat situation Wednesday night.

Tucson Fire was responding to a medical call at an apartment complex at 6199 E. Broadway.

Emergency crews have a sensor on their equipment that can detect small amounts of radiation, and that's what TFD says happened.

A hazmat team was called to investigate, which determined the source to be a resident at the complex who had a medical procedure done that involved a radiological element.
