Mild May temps this week, ice breaking heat next?

TUCSON - Amazing May weather continues this afternoon.

A slow moving area of low pressure keeps temperatures well below average, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Highs this afternoon reach the low 80's under mostly sunny skies. Gusty winds are likely up to 25 MPH out of the west.

High temps stay in the 80's through Friday under partly cloudy skies. Areas east of Tucson may see a stray shower or two Friday afternoon, as the low pressure trough moves east. High pressure sets up early next week, with models hinting at highs a degree or two shy of 100 next Tuesday.
