MLK historic site closed

(WXIA)Like other national monuments and historic places, those honoring the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King were closed Tuesday.

Locked doors and "closed" signs welcomed visitors to the historic King site in Atlanta.

Security guards on the property say the monument honoring King will remain shutdown until Congress can pass a spending measure allowing Uncle Sam to continue to operate.
