TUCSON - After yesterday's storms, an encore performance from Mother Nature looks unlikely.
Warm air aloft limits the isolated thunder threat to the mountains today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Valley floors will see mostly sunny skies and gusty winds up to 25 MPH. Highs this afternoon reach the 100's for the 20th straight day.
Every June day since June 10th, 2012 has seen daytime highs in the 100's for Tucson. This streak likely ends tomorrow afternoon with upper 90's in the forecast. Triple digit heat returns for the first weekend of Summer, with a slight chance of mountain storms east of Tucson Saturday.
