TUCSON - After an active start to the work week, storm chances are starting to fade.
Enough moisture exists for isolated storms in Tucson this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The best chance of storms will be south and east of Tucson as more moisture is present in these areas. The Old Pueblo reaches the upper 90's for daytime highs, dropping to the mid 70's overnight.
Dry & sinking air associated with high pressure over the state brings the first break of Monsoon 2014. Valley floors look dry tomorrow heading into the weekend, while mountains may still see a stray storm. As we dry out, we heat back up to the 100's.
Isolated storms return early next week as Monsoon moisture returns from the south.
