TUCSON - After a mostly down Sunday, Monsoon storms look to crank up the next 48 hours.
A mid-level disturbance will be the focal point for scattered storms this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The best chance of storms today will be along and west of an Oracle-Tucson-Nogales line. Expect scattered storms to develop late morning, with a few lingering overnight.
A few storms will be capable of heavy rain and damaging microburst winds.
Another active Monsoon day is in store tomorrow before high pressure starts shifting east of the Four Corners. Storm chances dwindle to the isolated variety Wednesday into the weekend, with highs returning to the 100's by Friday.
