TUCSON - Monsoon 2013 is quieting down after yesterday's activity.
Showers and storms struggled to get going Sunday after the atmosphere was pretty worked over from Saturday's storms. A few showers did manage to pop up around Tucson bringing a trace of rain to TIA but our monsoon total still sits at 2.60" to wrap up the weekend.
The upper level disturbance that kept things active across the state this weekend is starting to push west and will have little effect on Southern Arizona going forward. With slightly drier air moving in behind this system storms will remain isolated through the first half of the work week.
Stay with News 4 Tucson on-air and on-line for further Monsoon Storm Alert updates. Track the storms with our Interactive Radar & get severe weather alerts on your phone by texting "MONSOON" to 95990.
