TUCSON - Monsoon moisture will be limited heading into the weekend.
Dry air is moving into the region today in the wake of an upper level disturbance. With only a few cumulus cloud build-ups expected, temperatures will be on the rise topping out near 95 degrees to kick off the weekend.
A few mountain storms may fire back up Sunday afternoon but those should remain confined to the areas near the international border.
Expecting a modest increase of moisture heading into the new workweek as the chance for isolated storms return region wide on Monday and Tuesday.
After a five day stretch with below average temperatures they will return closer to the seasonal norm. Tucson will top out in the mid to upper 90s over the next several days.
