TUCSON - Looking more like the Monsoon, but still weeks away from a daily round of storms.
Enough moisture enters from the south to trigger an isolated storm or two for the mountains today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Valley floors see partly cloudy skies this afternoon as Tucson reaches the 100's for the 19th time this year.
Moisture levels look favorable Friday for isolated mountain storms, but drier air at the lower elevations limits the thunder threat. Gusty winds develop tomorrow and Saturday as a cold front passes to the north.
The official start of Monsoon 2014 arrives Sunday, but dry conditions prevail. Daytime highs stay in triple digit territory through the middle of next week.
