More flooding rains today

TUCSON - While most of Tucson saw dry conditions on Tuesday, parts of Cochise County were dealing with major flooding.

Hereford and Palominas received up to 3.5" of rain in two hours earlier on Tuesday.

The San Pedro River was rapidly rising. A Flash Flood Warning remains active until 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile in Tucson, the city tied an all-time record by stringing together 39 consecutive days with temperatures at, or above, 100 degrees.

This has only happened two other times; in 1987 and 2005.

Monsoon moisture remains in place and more widespread areas of heavy rain are expected throughout Southeastern Arizona for Wednesday.
