TUCSON - Enjoy the showers this morning. Rain chances will be rather slim the remainder of the work week.
High pressure is helping to dry out the atmosphere the next 72 hours, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Valley floors should be dry this afternoon with just a slight chance of isolated storms for the mountains. The heat returns at Tucson reaches 100° for the 43rd time this year.
Isolated mountain storms and triple digit temperatures for Tucson remains the call through the first half of the weekend.
High pressure starts to bring back some Monsoon moisture next week. However, storm chances still look to be in the isolated category. Triple digit heat sticks around with Tucson possibly reaching near-record heat the middle of next week.
