TUCSON - Southern Arizona taps into some sub-tropical moisture leading to mostly cloudy skies to start the weekend.
Cloud cover will help shave a few degrees off the forecast highs this afternoon but Tucson will still top out near 83, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. There will be enough sub-tropical moisture across southern Arizona this afternoon to see a sprinkle or two in the mountains, however, lower elevations will stay too dry to see any precipitation.
Clouds start to clear for Easter Sunday with mostly sunny skies and temperatures stuck about eight degrees above average. A holiday high near 85 will make for a great Easter Sunday with any outdoor activities a go.
A weak cold front moves through northern Arizona to start the work week bringing some slightly cooler temperatures. As the low 80s return to Tucson by Monday so do the afternoon wind gusts.
