TUCSON - Winter warmth builds to near record levels this week.
High pressure off the California coast has already brought Tucson a daytime high 10° above average this afternoon as we topped 78°. However, a weak disturbance will bring some afternoon breezes and keep temperatures from getting warmer on Monday and Tuesday.
As the ridge builds back in by Thursday we'll see the 80s return with highs peaking on Saturday near 85°. If we do hit 85° this Saturday we will tie the previous record which has been standing since 1957.
