TUCSON - Another round of isolated storms followed by near triple digit heat.
The work week wrapped up with some hit or miss storms around Southern Arizona and beautiful temps with highs topping 87 in Tucson. Meteorologist John Patrick is expecting a similar scenario to play out for Saturday with isolated storms and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Best chance for storms to start the weekend will be in the afternoon hours from Tucson and points east. Like today, hit or miss storms will initiate in the higher elevations and struggle to reach the valley locations with any accumulation remaining light.
Dry and warm is the call for Mother's Day Sunday with highs in the low 90s under generally sunny skies. Temps take off form there as we flirt with the triple digit mark by the middle of the upcoming work week.
