SIERRA VISTA - Drivers in Sierra Vista will need to be extra careful now about their speed. A new speed enforcement trailer is in place, and went active at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The new trailer, or Redflex system, has been deployed along the 600 block of Avenida Escuela. It is set for 7 miles over the 25 MPH speed limit. Citations will be issued to drivers traveling faster than that limit.

The city plans on adding more speed trailers around the city in the coming months.

In November, Sierra Vista will also begin using red light cameras, starting with the intersection of East Fry Boulevard and North Seventh Street.
