TUCSON - Not quite hitting 90, but still above average warmth for mid-October.
High pressure off the California coast drives the weather in southern Arizona through Saturday, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect daytime highs in the upper 80's for Tucson under mostly sunny skies. Cloud cover the next few days comes courtesy of a rapidly decaying Tropical Depression Paul over Baja California.
The average high temp for this time of year roughly resides in the mid 80's. We'll see these temps return next week thanks to a low pressure trough dropping out of the Gulf of Alaska. Highs will range from 86 degrees Sunday to 83 degrees next Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies prevail the next several days.
