No bond for suspect who ran into daycare

A judge has postponed the bond hearing for the man accused of causing a deadly hit-and-run crash into a Winter Park, Florida day care.

Robert Corchado, 28, appeared before an Orange County judge on Friday morning on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.

His bond had been set at $100,000, but a judge ordered he be held until Monday while the state filed a pretrial detention motion.

A state attorney argued that Corchado is a flight risk and should be held without bond. The prosecutor said a Florida Highway Patrol trooper was willing to testify about an alleged plan Corchado had to post bond for the charges then flee-again.

However, the judge said he would make a decision on Corchado's bond on Monday.
