October repeat: 70's & 80's heading into December

TUCSON - Feeling like October with Christmas 24 days away.

Warm weather is supplied by high pressure over southeastern New Mexico, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The final day of November sees daytime highs running 7-9 degrees above average, with upper 70's and sunshine expected in Tucson.

Heading into the first week of December, no big changes are in store. Weekend highs remain in the upper 70's under mostly sunny skies. A new ridge of high pressure propped over the Colorado River Valley brings an 80 degree run Tuesday and Wednesday. Tucson will threaten record highs the middle of next week.

Overnight lows now through late next week bottom out in the upper 40's to low 50's, which is 8-10 degrees above average for early December.
