Tucson- In 2012 New 4 Tucson told the story of a local man who is blind who competed in the paralympics in London.
Tanner Gers is now on a mission to regain his vision.
Gers was accepted to receive stem cell therapy in Phoenix.
That is good news for him and even better news for others in need to stem cell therapy.
Gers plan is to raise the $38-thousand dollars needed for his therapy and then keep it going, "We really want to do more than that", Gers said, "we really want to give stem cell therapy to other individuals so we additionally set the bar at another $40,000."
