TUCSON - The weather doesn't get much better than this for the first weekend of October.
A departing trough keeps daytime highs in the mid to upper 80's this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Ample sunshine is supplied by a ridge of high pressure over the West Coast. Expect west-northwest winds around 5-15 MPH today.
Overnight lows will once again drop into the 50's across the metro, with 40's possible in portions of Cochise County.
Another day in the 80's is in store tomorrow before the 90's come back for the start of the work week. Models hint at another cool-down late next week, accompanied by gusty winds and some clouds.
